Faith Temple Church now known as The Faith Church was founded July, 1981 by Elder Joseph Armstrong Jr in the home of Mother Grace Conway.  Weeks after with a handful of members Elder Armstrong Jr. was led by God to the current worship facility at 410 N. West St Petersburg, VA.  Along with the founding members, Mother Charlene Armstrong, Mother Marie Lewis, Deacon Jessie Lewis, Mother Grace Conway and others, Elder Armstrong Jr. labored and as God multiplied was able to burn the mortgage shortly thereafter. Under the ministry of Elder Armstrong Jr. many preachers and ministries have been birthed in during his 33 years of pastoral leadership. After great and long counsel with the Father, in April, 2014 Elder Armstrong Jr was led by the Holy Ghost to elevate Elder Joseph E. Armstrong III to pastor and to retire from actively serving as pastor of Faith Temple Church. Elder Armstrong currently serves as overseer and spiritual counsel to our current pastor while Mother Charlene Armstrong continues to be  a faithful pillar serving as our church mother.

Pastor's Facebook /Pastor Joseph E Armstrong III

Elder Joseph E. Armstrong III was born to Overseer Joseph E. Armstrong Jr. and Mother Charlene L. Armstrong. His formative education was received in the Richmond Public School System and holds continued educational accolades from Virginia Union University and Virginia State University with a degrees in psychology from Liberty University.  Elder Joseph E. Armstrong III has always been active in the Lord's work and began preaching in 1998. On April 10, 2014, after prayer, consecration and the Lord’s council Overseer Joseph Armstrong Jr. felt it necessary to pass the mantle in which Joseph E. Armstrong III  preached Palm Sunday April 13, 2014 as the new senior pastor of Faith Temple Church. On November 10, 2019 Elder Armstrong III was appointed to the Episcopal office of Overseer in the Fountain Of Life Fellowship of Churches by Bishop Y.Eric Lee. Overseer Armstrong is married to Mrs. Tawanda Armstrong and to that union they have one daughter Courtney and identical twin sons Taylor and Tyler.
